Born in Quito, Ecuador, Marco studied Law for two years at Universidad Central in Quito. In 1957 he moved to Chicago, Illinois to study vocal technique.  His mentors were Corrado and Adelina Vaselli, Ronald Combs, Robert Long and Winifred Brown.  After his service in the US Army, Marco obtained a Master’s Degree in Latin American Literature from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Urbana.

 

Marco auditioned and sang for four seasons with the prestigious Lyric Opera of Chicago.  Marco’s other associations include St. John Cantius Church in Chicago and the Naperville Chorus. His many recordings display a deeply seated passion for classical music.  He continues in his quest under the guidance of his mentor, Maestro Giulio Favario.
